How does ethnnocentricity cause conflict?

On January 26th 1788, British colonizer arrive at “Sydney”. When they arrived at the Sydney, they saw people knows as first Austrailian. First Austrailian had different culture and appearance and life style. The British tried to overcome to these differences and make a contact with them. However British’s attempt failed. The two different culture changed how they view each others by British’s ethnocentrisim. British thought they don’t reach a standard line of human being. Therefore British called first Australians as animals, barbaric, savage and more. Colonizer tried to change them in to British standard. British didn’t did not try to understand their culture. How art mirror society

The name of this painting is ‘The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp’. This painting is painted in1632 by and artist named Rembrandt also known as ‘the magician of light’. This painting is on oil on canvas and it is located in Mauritshuis, the Hague.

Rembrandt painting it mirrors the curiousity of Renaissance. People wanted to know how does it work. In this painting it shows people dissecting human body to know about human body. In the Renaissance people asked more questions about the human body. This art work is showing what happened during Renaissance because in art, one man is dissecting human body and the others are looking and taking note. In Renaissance, people started to ask questions about diseases and how to cure. They wanted to know more about medicine and human body. This is an example of art shows the study of human body. Before Renaissance church had lots of power and they were not allowed to dissect human body, but in Renaissance church power was weekend and they could dissect. This made people to ask themselves and inquire about church. Also people start to look for ancient Rome and Greek knowledge about the medicine because church was corrupt. ‘The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp’ shows the power losing from church, innovative thinking and people being inquire about human body.

The Driving Force of Renaissance

I think the 'Rivalry and Warfare' was driving force to Renaissance because each city wanted to be best. Each city hire artist, architect to build their most creative drawing or buildings. This made people creative.

point of view

“Pleaseeeeeeeee clean me and play with me!” I have a lot of things to complain but since I have limited time, I will complain about few things.

About 2 years ago I was wondering who will be my new owner. Owner was Brian. His parents bought me because he wanted to play a new instrument instead of piano. When he first got me he cleaned me every day and took good care of me with love. He played me every day. I saw his smiling face when he first got me. I was really proud of Brian, but after few years there were changes in him.

He usually played me every day. But at some point he stopped and left me inside the dark case. I used to have a shining metal body. My body is now covered with finger prints. The little holes on my body are filled with dust. When Brian first got me l was sitting in a beautiful, long, slim, wooden case with satin inside. The smell of the wood was great but now it has lost its polish. The satin has some holes, and I am miserable sitting here.

As I sit in the would dark case I miss the sound of my body. It is hard to remember my high notes. When Brian use to play me, people said I sounded like a real bird at early in the morning. He take me out carefully and play me by window. Sometime I sounded like a bell.

Crispin

Crispin is a major character in book. People call him as ‘Asta son’ and he really don’t have friends. He didn’t know his name until his mother died and father Quinel told him. His mom died and he is orphan now. He is calling in a ‘wolf’s head’ and being hunted. He is called by wolf’s head because people think that he stole Ayclffe’s money and he put 20 schilling for Crispin.

I think Crispin’s father is landlord. The landlord is sick and Ayclffe might want to be a lord. But if Crispin is lord’s son he must get rid of. So he put Crispin as thief and try to kill him. I think he will go to another city for help

Red

In class we read a book name ‘The Red Tree’ and in the book there is a girl have her own red tree. Beginning of book one black leaf fell and another fell and whole room is covered with black leaves. She went outside and all the bad things happen to her and she became hopeless. Situation got bad, worse and worst like you fail on every single quiz you took. She came home back with hopelessness but she found the red tree which is ‘hope’.

There are a lot of hopeless and sad things happen during a day. Some situation in book is what happens to me also. She felt drawing, but when she sees her red tree she felt better. I was totally agrees with this story because some time I felt I’m lost or peoples ignore me and fell bad and hopelessness. I could always found my red tree like book and felt better. This story gave me a lot of hope.

My red tree is my snowboarding. When I go for snowboarding I fell free and I don’t care about anything bad and enjoy my time. While I’m enjoying snowboarding I forgot about a lot of bad thing and have new fresh memories. Snowboarding gives me an energy to keep me up.
